Benefits

Frequently asked questions

How do I resize an image to an exact KB size?

Upload your image, set your target size in the 'Max file size' box (for example 20 KB or 50 KB), and the tool automatically adjusts the JPG quality — and, if needed, the dimensions — to bring the file under that limit. The final size is shown before you download.

Can I resize a signature for a government or exam form?

Yes. Choose the Signature preset, or set the exact width, height and KB limit your form asks for. The tool resizes and compresses the signature to match, so it uploads without an error.

Does it keep the image from looking stretched?

Yes. By default the aspect ratio is locked, so when you change the width the height adjusts automatically (and vice versa). You can unlock it if a form needs exact non-proportional dimensions.

Should I use JPG or PNG?

Most forms want JPG, and JPG is what lets the tool hit an exact KB target. Use PNG only if you need a transparent background (for example some signature uploads) — note that PNG size is controlled mainly by dimensions, not a quality slider.

Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. All resizing and compression happens locally in your browser using your device. Your photo or signature never leaves your device, so it stays completely private.

Is this tool free?

Yes, it's completely free with no sign-up and no watermark. Resize as many images as you like.
